Audio: Share a great duet.
The first time I heard this song was as duet with Charlotte Church & Josh Groban. And I LOVE Josh Groban. But these two artists have such powerful yet ethereal voices.... It's just perfect! I've sung this for a baptism, weddings, and a funeral.
(Carol Bayer Sager/David Foster)
I pray you'll be our eyes, and watch us where we go.
And help us to be wise in times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way
Lead us to the place, guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe
La luce che tu hai
[I pray we'll find your light]
Nel cuore resterà
[And hold it in our hearts.]
A ricordarci che
[When stars go out each night,]
Eterna stella sei
Nella mia preghiera
[Let this be our prayer]
Quanta fede c'è
[When shadows fill our day]
Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
Sogniamo un mondo senza più violenza
Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno lo dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace, di fraternità
La forza che ci dà
[We ask that life be kind]
È il desiderio che
[And watch us from above]
Ognuno trovi amor
[We hope each soul will find]
Intorno e dentro sé
[Another soul to love]
Let this be our prayer [Let this be our prayer],
Just like every child
Need to find a place, guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
È la fede che
Hai acceso in noi,
Sento che ci salveràBook: Show us a book you started reading but never finished.
It's not that I couldn't get through it.
- The book club sent me the large print edition. It's HUGE!
- I just lost interest about halfway through
Books I just bought:
Speaker and author Karen O’Connor urges her post–fifty friends to “laugh and love all the way home to the Father’s house.” With humor and wisdom, Karen shares personal and gathered stories about the blessings of surviving and surpassing middle–age.
Gettin’ Old Ain’t for Wimps & Help, Lord! I'm Having a Senior Moment overflow with candor and help the boomin’ baby boomer market celebrate with:
- funny stories of the antics and adventures of getting older
- “conversations with God” for a deeper prayer life
- hopeful words for the tough times
For those who have already traded in their wimp status for a more courageous existence or those still wondering about the future, this delightful read affirms that the latter decades are filled with God’s promises and joys.

Book: Show us one of your favorite works of fiction.
I love a tale that illustrates what it means to be an underdog. And what it means to fight for basic human freedoms that should be extended to all people. "This is Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep South -- and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred.
One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis of an enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father -- a crusading local lawyer -- risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime." Orange County, CA. He left California about 2 months later to go to school in Seattle, WA.
His original objective was Computer animation, but once he started classes he found out pretty quickly
that a person has to actually have an aptitude for drawing in order to succeed in Animation. Who knew!? ;-) He quickly changed his major to Web Design and Programming, which is what he does now for a living. After an internship with Real Networks (they made your Windows Media Player), he worked for another design firm in Seattle, called Smashing Ideas.
After about 3 years there he decided to step out on his own and now has his own company, Endquote.com!

Submitted by Red Pen.I really wanted to BE Karen Carpenter, I loved their music THAT much. Theirs was also the first live professional concert I saw, The Carpenters at the Hollywood Bowl, 1973. Their music was the soundtrack to my teen years.

Well, there are many, but this one stands out at this time of year.
Show us something that warms your heart.
This is my sister Gail with her step-grandaughter Kerowyn. They live on Oahu in Hawaii.
This is Jacob, Gail's grandson and my great-nephew I guess. He's my niece's 7 year old son. They're here in Washington this weekend for the sole purpose of playing in SNOW!
The pic on the right is of Jake with the family dog, Cooper. Coop wasn't feeling well so Jake decided to read him a story. :-D
