Good job!! You look great!!

Truly, you do look great, musicchick! I can't think of much that is harder than losing weight or quitting smoking! Gaaa, it is SO difficult!
Thin for Thanksgiving?? Is that even allowed??
;-)
Good on ya.

Exactly. MC2, I'd consult the local Seattle laws. 'Holiday Slender' edicts fall under the Public Nuisance Laws of many states.

Seriously, you look completely faboolous. And how I ENVY people with beautiful smiles!

You're beautiful!

wow, you look great! beautiful smile.
Sara, Lauri, Teho, Aubrey, Amanda & little miao: Thank you so much! *blush* I realize that I am definitely breaking the 'Holiday Slender' laws. I mean, it's just NOT DONE! But this is the first time in my WHOLE LIFE that I've broken this law! 50 years! Gaaaa! Do you think the punishment will be severe, cruel & unusual? Or do ya' think they'll go easy on me?? *glances worriedly to the left and to the right, lip quivering*
Believe me when I say you are very sexy......both now and then :)

Dang MC2! you look nice and congrats! =^.^=
*blushing furiously* Awww....thanks hun. Actually, a big part of it was going off of the steroid drug Prednisone. I'd been taking it for YEARS to help with my arthritis pain. But around July of '05 I just got fed up with the side effects, and wasn't get that much benefit from it anymore. I'd say at least half the weight that I lost was due to discontinuing that. The weight came off really easy and fast in the beginning. THEN I had to start eating healthy. BUMMER! ;-)

Congrats musicchick!

I'm up there to (or should I say down) with 52lbs off in the past two years.

Not enough guts to post a pic though.

wow, I know how tough any kind of major lifestyle change is. You have a lot of willpower.

My grandmother just recently started takng Prednisone because of some rare artery condition, and it's the only medicine that works to keep it at bay, I guess. But she's already having trouble with the weight issue. Aiiee, very tough.
^5's back at'cha! Isn't it amazing when you look back at the before pictures? I mean, having been overweight ALL my life, I didn't realize how bad (and how BIG) I really looked. It could have been worse....my highest was 215 (I'm 5' 6"), but now that I can see the before and after side by side I still can't quite believe it. I still "think fat". Do you know what I mean? And for the record, I don't like ANY pictures of me... I ALWAYS find fault with something (right now it's that my hair's too dark and I have loose skin here and there and everywhere - ugh! Be proud of what you've accomplished sweetie! Post those pics! (Or email 'em to me privately.) I'd love to celebrate your victory with you!
