Drugs found in drinking water across U.S.

Comments

UGH.
Drink filtered water. That's my contribution. Then there are millions who can't afford filtered water.

If this is being made public, I can only imagine the horrendous amount of crap in our water AND in our food that is never made public. We had better enjoy life while we can.
I'm glad I filter my drinking water. My particular town has excellent water quality anyway, but this trend of Rx drugs being pushed onto the public, then entering the main*stream* is very disturbing.

Yeah, I was appalled when I read this! And they're saying even bottled and/or filtered water may no really be "clean"? What are we supposed to do, boil our tap water? ugh!

Isn't this old news? I remember hearing these stories for years, and also for years they've (doctors and pharmacies) been telling everyone not to flush their old pills, to throw them away instead.

So, it's bad, but it's not strictly news, if you see what I mean (nor is the thing about bottled water often being just repackaged tap water; that's why I make sure mine's always mountain spring water, preferably bottled at the source).

Here's a related article that I just found, how the drug-laced water is affecting fish & wildlife. Pretty grim.

Very troubling
Go figure this one out: out here on the Front Range in CO (Denver, etc), the water comes down from the snowpack. We have first use. They found drugs in this water source as well. How on earth did that happen?
This shouldn't be happening in this day and age. There's no excuse

Btw, I love your banner!
This is scary! This is horrible! I guess I shouldn't be shocked at all since so many different types of drugs are taken every day by millions. There's gotta be some backlash. But this is almost like second-hand smoking now. I can't help but feel that we're really experiencing the beginning of some real trouble. Global warming, water/food poisoning (and shortage), wars... How did we manage to cause so much trouble?
This really freaked me out, big time. How many of the "diseases" people suffer from are a combination of drugs and pollution? I thought we were probably better off, since we have a deep water well. Guess not. Time to move to Alaska.
This is so disturbing. :(
