When your favorite TV shows seem to go off the deep end, don't you
just wanna say to the writers, "HUH???!!!"

The specific shows I'm talking about are soap opera "All My Children"
and the crowd favorite, "House".

AMC: What do you think about the new story lines - Adam going crazy?
Dixie "haunting" him? Zach sending Aiden (& maybe Ryan too!) off on a
dangerous mission-to save a character we haven't seen in a while- Jake
Martin. And of course Jake is being played by a new actor we never
saw before.

Do they REALLY think fans are just gonna buy this stuff?

House: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. Hugh Laurie (who is British in
real life, accent & all) playing the curmudgeonly Dr House is
BRILLIANT! But the way he played musical chairs with a bunch of new
Dr's....NO hospital would allow something like that! And now the
Oncologist, Dr. Wilson, now dating one of the dismissed Dr.
candidates? And House & lady Dr setting up a "shared custody"
schedule so each can spend time with Wilson? Granted, it IS amusing,
but... HUH??!!

Do you think these story lines are wacky, or is it just me? ;-)

I haven't watched AMC in years and years. I don't know if I'd even begin to know any of the characters on there should I return. (Although I do know Dixie and Adam---is Stuart still part of the show, too?)

House is one of my favorite shows. I need to remember they've moved it from Tuesday to Monday...the story lines there are a big stretch for what I can only imagine would be happening in real life. Would 'they' really let such an a$$ treat his patients and subordinates like that?

House has gotten crazy. At least before he was a believable ass. Now they just keep coming up with more and more outrageous and misanthropic behavious. I'm waiting for the episode in which he Wilson's new kitten alive just to spite him.

I don’t follow either show but I have watched the occasional House. I agree this sounds like it has descended into self-parody. It was like when the Fonz started having supernatural powers (saying, ‘Cool it!’ in the woods and all the animals going silent) or Kramer doing more stupid Homer Simpson-type things (that N-word gag—hang on, that was real life) or Homer Simpson himself being the centre of attention in The Simpsons.

House is so bizarre, yet it is one of the only prime time shows I watch. Another thing that bothered me before the insane tangents was that they had doctors giving cat scans and other tests. I understand that they wouldn't want to have a gazillion people in the cast, but have them wheel them off to the lab and leave them. but I watch it and complain. I forget its on Monday now. I think I missed it.

House was brilliant for the first couple seasons, but they started to decline last season with that ridiculous Detective Tritter arc. I don't know what was wrong with just having him solve a different medical mystery each week--why did they have to include a tedious recurring subplot? Grr.

I haven't watched it on Monday yet. I keep forgetting.

I love "House", but it is different now than it was in the previous seasons. I still have to watch it though, I just love Hugh Laurie. I'm hoping it will get better as the season goes on.
